FAQ

Questions, answered honestly

What this is, how it works, and what we never do.

What is Reverything?

Reverything turns any category into anonymous head-to-head duels. Your picks join a shared pool that forms a verifiable community consensus — there is no personal Top 10 and no follower count deciding anything.

How are matchups selected?

Each pair is issued by the server when you vote. New and under-compared contenders are dealt first so every option gets a fair hearing. You only ever vote on the pair you were given.

When do percentages and ranks appear?

Only after a category collects enough duels across enough pairs. Until then it stays forming: no percentages, no ranks, no made-up order.

How is brigading prevented?

Every browser holds one anonymous credential per category, pairs are single-use and server-issued, and voting is rate-limited. Failed or stale votes are never stored, queued, or replayed.

Do I need an account to vote?

No. Starting, voting, and viewing never need a login. Signing in only manages your own devices and never touches votes.

How is the public order computed?

Anonymous pair outcomes are aggregated into consensus snapshots with an order-independent algorithm, so the same votes always produce the same order. Items still forming are excluded from the public ranking.
